Question asked regarding this weekly tournament:
I'm a newb when it comes to SSB tournaments. How does Eddy's tourney work? Is it handicapped? How many people usually show? Can I drink beer while I play? Answer: It is a handicapped tournament. Tonight will be the first one, so I have no idea how many people will show. I've got my kids so I won't make it, but Del will be there (and running it I believe). As for the structure - it is handicapped via the highest average (according to card) of the attending players. Then everyone gets 80% of the pins added to their score for their relative handicap. In other words - if someone has a 240 average, and is playing a 200 average. Then the 200 average player automatically gets 32 pins added to their score. I'm not sure if he's doing rounding or not for non-even numbers. He is going to monitor the handicaps, scores, and the places people finish so that he can tweak the handicap system as we continue to make sure it's fair for everyone and everyone has a chance of winning! Also, it is highly recommended and encouraged to eat and drink heavily while you play!!!  Fun is definitely allowed!!!Hope you can make it out to them! Hopefully these types of tournaments and leagues start to happen all over! Any that exist - I'll post! |

Eddy's does the Thursday tournaments every week. But that's all that has been sent to me!

Sorry to announce Paul that the tournaments at Eddy's has not been so successful. The location is to far out of the way for alot of the bowlers around town. We gave it a shot for awhile but it just wasn't filling up. So if your coming to town just for that, save your gas money. But if you want to just come and hang out that would be great. There is alot of hotels around. If you want to play at the Fox and Hound where Telly and I play there are at least 4 within a couple of miles. Hope to see ya.

Hey guys didnt make it last night but still comin down sucks not getting that tourney experience.But hey tell me whats up this weekend, can we set up something saturday day so I can drive back? Its askin alot but whatever is conveiniant for you guys. Buy the way got a video for ya telly 33 of 36 in a series with 2 300s sure feels nice gettin on track missed last month with only 80 games played alright guys let me know-Later!

Del is there now.... I'm finishing up cosmetics on my car and heading up there for the rest of the night. We have a golf tournament tomorrow out past Plainfield.
